1. History
Chicago was founded for Potawatomi Indians, They called at first the river "Checaugou", meaning "Wild Onion". In 1673 first appears the name "Chicago" in the maps after the visit of French Missionaries. This city was incorporated in 1837.
Chicago is the third city most populous, after New York and Los Angeles. Is famous for its shows and the popular artist born here.
2. Where's Chicago
Chicago is next to Lake Michigan, in the north west of USA, Chicago called the city of wind, because is very freeze.
3. Chicago's Famous Places
a. Sears Tower, "Willis Tower": A building with 103 floors, Is famous, because in his 103 floor have a dome of glass, where you can see the city.
b. Navy Pier: A Boat Harbour with some attractions (Ferres Wheel,Light Tower Ride, Wave Swinger, Crystal Garden and some stores of souvenirs). In summer is a fun watering place.
c. Millenium Park: A park with free cultural exhibitions,the tourists are amazed with what is presented here.
i. Cloud Gate: Created by Anish Kapoor, He was inspired in liquid mercury.Chicago's People called this sculpture "The Bean".
ii. Crown Mountain: In a interactive work inspired in the Crown Family, It was show Chicago's People. In summer this image squirts water.
iii. Jay Pritzker Pavilion: The Centerpiece, It was designed by Frank Gehry. This Centerpiexe is the home of Grant Park Symphony Orchestra and Chorus and The Grant Park Music Festival.
